At the beginning of August, Petrinja becomes the center of vibrant events that include a rich offer of cultural, traditional, religious, and entertainment content. Located in the centuries-old city park, known as Strossmayer's Promenade, these events bring a lively atmosphere that reflects the rich heritage of the Petrinja region. Local craftsmen showcase their creativity through exhibitions of handicrafts, souvenirs, and utilitarian items, while visitors can admire the diversity of folk costumes from the Pokuplje and Zrinska Gora regions. Monday, August 5th, is dedicated to Victory and Homeland Thanksgiving Day and Croatian Veterans Day. A solemn holy mass for the Homeland will be held at 9:00 AM in the parish church of St. Lawrence.

Liberation Day and the Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord
Tuesday, August 6th, will mark the Liberation Day of the city of Petrinja, Croatian Veterans Day of Petrinja, and the feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord. In the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord in Slatina, a solemn procession will be held at 10:50 AM, followed by a solemn holy mass at 11:00 AM, led by the most reverend mons. Josip Mrzljak, retired bishop of Varaždin. In the evening, at 7:00 PM, Rev. Ivan Sandrin will lead a thanksgiving holy mass.

Solemn Session of the City Council
Friday, August 9th, is reserved for the solemn session of the City Council of the City of Petrinja, which will be held at the POU Croatian Home starting at 7:00 PM. This session provides an opportunity for the exchange of ideas and plans for the further development of the city.

Saturday, August 10th, brings a rich program of celebrating Petrinja City Day and the Feast of St. Lawrence. The program continues at 3:00 PM with a performance by Sara Renar, and then at 5:00 PM with a concert by Bruno Urlić and Mavi Kan. The evening holy mass in the Parish Church of St. Lawrence is scheduled for 7:00 PM.

Concerts and Music Program
The evening hours bring musical treats at the City Bathing Area. At 9:30 PM, a concert by Miroslav Škoro will be held, and the fun continues at 11:30 PM with DJ Fish, who will ensure a top-notch atmosphere for all lovers of good music.

On Sunday, August 11th, starting at 8:00 PM, a concert by Lela Kaplowitz will be held on Strossmayer's Promenade, which will be a perfect end to a rich week of events.
